It’s been a busy few weeks! Several newsworthy bits to talk about:
Street Chalk’s Wednesday residency has begun! We’re playing every Wednesday night from now until eternity at Common Ground (85 Harvard Ave.) in Allston, 10p to 1a. They’ve got a nice vibe, great food, and a KILLER craft brew list – come on out for a great night with NO COVER CHARGE!
I’m playing a number of recording sessions this summer as well, including an album with a young MONSTER of a soul singer and a great quintet featuring my friends George Lernis, Richey Tally, David Mitton, and Pete Fanelli.
There are plans for another trio record in the not so distant future as well, featuring a bunch of new material! I’m planning to record some new originals, a few interesting solo pieces, and unique arrangements of existing music – stay tuned for more details on that front!
I’m also playing the Lowell African Festival on Saturday June 15th with the great Kenyan pop outfit Woza Moya. It’s always a blast playing with these guys, and I’m so excited to be doing the festival for the second year in a row! The festival takes place at the Sampas Pavillion right on the Merrimack River in Lowell, “the Venice of America”! Hope to see y’all at some shows – more info soon!
